In collaboration with the IDOE, IACTE is hosting an in-person day-long conference. The important topics to be covered include a summary of the 2023 legislative session and new legislation impacting EPPs with a focus on the science of reading requirements. In addition to this update, the conference will include breakout sessions to discuss and share ideas associated with the new legislation and the science of reading efforts.  Each EPP is strongly encouraged to have more than one individual attend to maximize participation in the important topics to be addressed. More details will be sent in the first part of August.

In response to the recent media coverage of the NCTQ Reading Foundations Standard Revision, the chair of the AACTE Advisory Council of State Representatives (ACSR), Robin Fuxa, prepared talking points for all EPPs in response to this document.
